This is a picture of the home page also known as your timeline or feed on twitter. It will automatically update in revere chronological order (newest tweets at the top). All the tweets of people you follow will appear here along with their retweets as well. On the upper left side is your account information. You can view your profile picture, username,screen name, header, followers, amount of tweets, and amount of people you follow. In the middle, top of the page is the tweet bar where you can type in and post a tweet.
Moments Page
This page is useful for keeping you updated on current events and other things that many people are talking about on twitter. There are various categories of news shown on the upper right hand corner of the screen. You can click on one of the topics in the middle of the screen and it will bring you to page that has a whole feed on that specific topic.
Notifications Page
This page lets you know when you are involved in other tweets or other people see you on twitter. You will get a notification when someone follows you on twitter and when someone retweets or likes one of your tweets. You can also click on the mention tab on the upper right side of the screen and that will show you when someone mentions you in a tweet or likes or favorites a tweet you were mentioned in.
Messages Page
This page is where you can find or compose all private messages that you are in on twitter. These messages will be shared with only you and the other people in the group. These messages will not appear on your timeline on the home page. You can also chose to get notifications on the notifications tab when someone direct messages you
On Every Page
This bar is on the top of the screen all the time while you are on twitter. You can always utilize these buttons from anywhere on the website.
How to Tweet
-Press the blue icon on the upper right corner of the home page to write a tweet:
-Tweets can be up to 140 characters in length, and the character count can be found next to the "Tweet" button:
-You can tweet polls, photos and videos as well.
-To tweet a poll, you can have up to four options for people to vote on.
-You can change the amount of time people have to vote (from 5 minutes to a week)
-To tweet a picture, when composing a tweet press the camera icon. Each tweet can have up to four pictures.
-To tweet videos, you can either record them through twitter's app, upload them from your phone, or upload videos to twitter.com.
-To record through the twitter app, tap this icon (next to the camera icon in a tweet):. Then, press the record button.
-To tweet a video on your phone, simply click the "tweet" icon and find the the video you want to tweet.
-To tweet a video on twitter.com, tap the "tweet" icon and then click "add media." Then choose a video file on your computer and upload it.
-You can also send direct messages on Twitter.
-To create a direct message on the twitter app, tap the envelope icon (you'll be directed to your messages), and tap the "new message" icon . In the address box, add the username or name of the user you want to send this to.
-To create a direct message on the Twitter website, click "Messages" (you'll see a pop-up showing your direct message history), and then click the new message button. Enter the name or username of the the user you want to send this to.
-Direct messages have no character limit.
-You can send emojis, GIFs, photos, and videos as well as text.
-You can send a direct message to one or multiple people(up to 50). Anyone in the conversation can add other users to the group, but these users won't see earlier history in the conversation.
-Tap the camera iconto take a photo, record a video, or attach a photo/video.
-Tap the GIF iconto find a file from the media library.
-Tap the emoji iconto send an emoji before typing your message.
Important Settings
Access the Settings by clicking the icon that looks like an egg. A drop-down will appear, and then click settings
The most important tabs in the Settings are the "Account" tab and the "Security and Privacy" Tab.
